API Key Management
Issue and revoke API credentials for ling-1t.ai.
API Key Management
API keys authenticate your workloads against ling-1t.ai. Keys are scoped to the owning account and track usage for billing and audit logs.
Create a Key
- Sign in at https://ling-1t.ai/dashboard.
- In the API Keys card, select Create API key.
- Provide a label (e.g., “production-backend”).
- Copy the generated value immediately—keys are only shown once.
The dashboard displays the prefix and last eight characters for reference. Each account can hold up to MAX_API_KEYS_PER_USER active keys (defaults to 10; configurable via environment variable).
Example Response
Store keys securely (secret manager, vault, or CI/CD variable). Avoid committing them to your repository.
Rotate or Revoke
- Use the Revoke action in the dashboard to immediately invalidate a key. Revocation cannot be undone.
- Update your applications to use a new key before revoking the old one to prevent downtime.
